Crown molding we install
Crown comes in many sizes and spring angles, from a simple cove in a bedroom to a multi-piece cornice in a two-story foyer. We install what the plans or the design call for.
- Single-piece crown in paint-grade or stain-grade material
- Stacked and built-up crown with a backer and multiple profiles
- Tray and step ceiling trim
- Coffered ceiling beams and grids
- Crown on cabinets and built-ins when it is part of the trim package
Why corners matter
Rooms are rarely perfectly square and ceilings are rarely perfectly flat. Our installers check the walls and ceiling line first, cope the inside corners and fit the outside miters to the actual angle in the room. The result is crown that looks continuous instead of pieced together, with joints that stay closed.
What affects the price
Crown is usually priced by the linear foot, but the rate depends on more than length. The size and number of pieces, ceiling height and scaffolding, the number of corners, the material and whether the room is finished or under construction all change the labor. Our guide on crown molding cost factors explains each one.
What to send for a quote
Send the room list or plans, the ceiling heights and a photo or name of the profile you want. If you are not sure which profile fits the room, tell us the style of the house and we can suggest options.
